“Drake Mills and our friends at Community Trust Bank continue to be among Louisiana Tech’s most fervent and dedicated supporters,” said Reneau.  “This gift will help to provide new opportunities for our business students to excel and develop into leadership roles within their fields.  We are appreciative of Community Trust Bank’s ongoing support and greatly value all the contributions they have made to Louisiana Tech.”
Mills and Community Trust Bank have both been long-time supporters of the College of Business and the University.  Mills, a graduate of Louisiana Tech, is a past member of the College of Business’ Advisory Board and an annual speaker at the College’s Banker’s Day.
“The relationship we have developed with Louisiana Tech University over the years is representative of the kind we strive for with all of our clients and communities,” said Mills.  “Moreover, it’s essential that we assist in planting the seeds that shape tomorrow’s business leaders.  That’s why we’ve made this investment in Louisiana Tech’s College of Business, and why we will always try to take advantage of those opportunities to help build.”
Community Trust Bank’s donation will help to advance the College of Business’ Building Distinction campaign and its goal of $5 million to increase the size of the new building currently being constructed by adding a wing to the planned structure.  This wing will allow the College to better serve the needs of students and faculty, today and into the future.
“Community Trust Bank has been a long-time supporter and partner of the College of Business,” said Lumpkin.  “We are extremely appreciative of their extraordinary generosity in support of our new building.  This gift is critical to the College’s success in meeting our campaign goal of $5 million.  Their gift will have a significant impact on the construction of a much needed facility for our students and faculty.”
Louisiana Tech broke ground in February on the new 42,000 square-foot College of Business building, located just east of the current facility in Tech’s research park, Enterprise Campus.  The building will serve as the centerpiece of the College’s business and entrepreneurship programs with state-of-the-art technologies that will allow students to acclimate themselves to practices and techniques they will encounter within their industries upon graduation.
All degree programs offered by the College of Business at Louisiana Tech are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).  Accreditation by AACSB International represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, worldwide.
