Masterworks Chorus seeks new members
The North Central Louisiana Masterworks Chorus, directed by Dr. Sean Teets, director of choral activities at Louisiana Tech, is seeking singers for a spring concert in May titled “It’s a Grand Night for Singing.”
Teets said the chorus is considering works from composers such as Gershwin, Porter, Bernstein, and Rodgers and Hammerstein, as well as spirituals, patriotic songs and folk songs.
For those interested in joining the Masterworks Chorus,rehearsals will begin Monday, March 12. New member fees are $30 for adults and $15 for students.
The Masterworks Chorus is a non-auditioned vocal ensemble committed to performing classical and contemporary choral works. It consists of members mainly from the north central Louisiana region, and the members generally perform two concerts per year.
