Registration opens for 8th Annual Business Outlook Summit
Registration has opened for the 8th Annual Business Outlook Summit, sponsored by Community Trust Bank, which will be held on March 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at CenturyLink Headquarters in Monroe.
Speakers will deliver economic forecasts for the region, state, and nation. Delivering the economic outlook for the nation is keynote speaker Mr. Brian Belski, chief investment strategist for Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc. in New York City.
In his over 20 years in the investment industry, Belski has held various strategy and research positions, most recently as the Chief U.S. Sector Strategist at Merrill Lynch. He is frequently quoted in the financial press, including weekly appearances on CNBC, as well as commentary on other networks such as Bloomberg, Fox Business News, and CNN. A 2004 poll conducted by USA Today named Belski the most accurate strategist on Wall Street.
Dr. John Francis, assistant professor of economics at Louisiana Tech University, and Dr. Robert Eisenstadt, associate professor of economics at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, will provide a regional economic outlook.
The Summit is hosted by Louisiana Tech’s College of Business, University of Louisiana-Monroe’s College of Business Administration, Louisiana Economic Development, Northern Louisiana Economic Partnership, Monroe Chamber of Commerce, Ruston/Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Union Parish Chamber of Commerce, and West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce.
