Tech to host annual student art show, photographer’s book signing

Louisiana Tech University’s School of Art will host its annual student art show March 29 through April 10 in the Main Gallery and the Bellocq Gallery in the F. Jay Taylor Visual Arts Center.
Kelli Connell, who earned her M.F.A. in art history from Texas Woman’s University in 2003, will serve as this year’s juror for the show.  She will be speaking March 29 at 5 p.m. in VAC 103 on her book Double Life.
The awards ceremony will follow at 6 p.m., and Connell will sign copies of her book after the ceremony. Books will be available for purchase at the event for $45 cash or check.
Following the opening reception, both galleries will be open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. showcasing the students’ works.  Admission is free.  For more information, please call the School of Art at 318-257-3909 or visit the website at www.art.latech.edu.
