Masterworks Chorus seeks members from north Louisiana
Louisiana Tech’s director of choral activities is searching for community members interested in participating in a fall concert with the North Central Louisiana Masterworks Chorus.
Directed by Dr. Sean Teets, the chorus is looking for singers to perform for a fall concert Nov. 5. Teets said the chorus is combining with Tech’s combined choirs to perform Mozart’s “Requiem” and Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna” with orchestra.
The first rehearsal will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 in Howard Auditorium, Room 112. Member fees are $30 for adults and $15 for students.
The Masterworks Chorus is a non-auditioned vocal ensemble committed to performing classical and contemporary choral works. It consists of members mainly from the north central Louisiana region, and the members generally perform two concerts per year.
