Commencement ceremonies to conclude fall quarter

Louisiana Tech will hold its fall graduation at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Thomas Assembly Center.

Phyllis M. Taylor, chairman and CEO of Taylor Energy Company, LLC, and chairman and president of the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation, will serve as keynote speaker.
Taylor has served as Taylor Energy Company’s chair and CEO since the death of her husband, Patrick F. Taylor, in 2004, and she continues her late husband’s legacy to ensure students have an opportunity to earn merit-based, state-paid college tuition scholarships.
The Patrick F. Taylor Foundation, which was founded in 1985, emphasizes education, law enforcement, military and other humanitarian efforts.
Taylor currently serves as a member of Tulane University President’s Council and the New Orleans Business Council, and she was appointed to the Education Commission of the States. She also serves on the boards of the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, Smithsonian National Board, Xavier University, Catholic Leadership Institute, Stone Energy Corporation and the Greater New Orleans Foundation.
Commencement will mark the official end of the fall quarter. Classes for the winter quarter will begin Wednesday, Nov. 28.
