Tech graduation set for Saturday
Louisiana Tech students will become Louisiana Tech alumni as they receive diplomas at the university’s winter commencement ceremonies.
Steven Davison, a 1989 graduate from Ruston, will serve as keynote speaker.
After his time at Tech, Davison graduated from Mississippi College of Law in 1993 and was a two-time winner of the American Jurisprudence Award. He has served as an adjunct professor at Tech, owns Twin Creek Farm in Lexington, Ky., has his own general private law practice, and is co-developer of Squire Creek Country Club and Development. Davison also is in-house special counsel for Genesis Energy.
Davison serves on the Community Trust Bank Advisory Board, the Louisiana Foundation Board, the Louisiana Tech Athletics Council and the North Louisiana Economic Partnership Board. He was named Louisiana Tech’s College of Business Alumnus of the Year in 2010 and the Ruston Chamber of Commerce Young Business Person of the Year in 2004.
Davison is married to Sarah Johnston Davison, and they have four children: Michael, Emily, Catherine and Joseph.
Graduation will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at the Thomas Assembly Center. Commencement will officially end winter quarter. Spring quarter classes will begin Wednesday, March 6.
