Attention Louisiana Tech Bulldog fans:
As the selection for Tech XXI is now underway, it is now time to begin the application process for Louisiana Tech’s Mascot Caregiver!
The Bulldog Search Committee is looking for a family near Louisiana Tech’s campus who would be willing to keep and care for our live mascot.  It’s no secret that we are looking for the best bulldog possible to become our next mascot and the same can be said for our desire to find the best home possible for Tech XXI.
Below is a list of criterion that has been suggested for families who may consider applying to become Tech XXI’s caregiver:

• The caregiver shall be a family with children, who is familiar to caring for a dog
• The caregiver’s residence shall be located within a 15 mile radius and 30 minute round trip to the University
• The caregiver’s residence must have a fenced in yard
• The caregiver must be someone who is actively involved in campus life and is attuned to the University’s calendar year and events
• The caregiver shall provide access to approved climate-controlled accommodations for the bulldog
• The caregiver must be willing to assume responsibility for providing daily exercise

All families who meet the above criteria are encouraged to apply. All veterinary care will be provided by a partner veterinarian, free of cost to the caretaker.  The goal is to ensure that Tech XXI is in a safe environment and is well cared, whether he is leading our football team onto the field in Joe Aillet Stadium or at home with his caregiver family.
