Faculty from Louisiana Tech University’s College of Engineering and Science will showcase several of their innovative academic and outreach programs at the 120th Conference of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), June 23-26 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Jenna Carpenter, associate dean for strategic initiatives; Dr. Heath Tims, associate professor of mechanical engineering; Dr. Kelly Crittenden, associate professor of mechanical engineering; and Allie DeLeo, student success specialist will host an information booth at the conference where they will highlight aspects of their first year program, “Living with the Lab,” K-12 outreach programs, and Ph.D. engineering programs.
“ASEE is a great conference for showing all of the innovative hands-on programs that we are known for throughout the country,” said Tims. “Having an information booth at the expo allows us to share with other engineering education leaders what Louisiana Tech is doing in STEM programs.”
The ASEE conference. Attendees include deans, faculty and researchers, administrators, students and retirees. Distinguished lectures are also featured in addition to various award receptions and banquets.
The ASEE Annual Conference and Exposition is the only conference dedicated to all disciplines of engineering education. Hosting over 350 technical sessions with peer reviewed papers spanning all disciplines of engineering education, the conference is committed to fostering the exchange of ideas, enhancing teaching methods and curriculum and providing prime networking opportunities for engineering and technology education.
