Guice to speak to incoming freshmen at orientation
Louisiana Tech will hold its second orientation session Wednesday through Friday, and this will be the first orientation that Dr. Les Guice will address the incoming freshmen as the new Tech president.
Guice will speak to the students 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Howard Auditorium. More than 400 students are expected to attend this week’s orientation session, said Andy Cline, director of orientation.
During orientation, incoming students and their parents have the opportunity to see the campus and what it has to offer, meet other students who will attend Tech for the first time, and register for fall classes.
“We’re excited for this orientation session,” Cline said. “We look forward to the campus involvement.”
The third orientation session will be July 31 through Aug. 2. Additionally, Tech will hold a one-day transfer student orientation session July 16.
Fall classes begin Sept. 5.
