Choirs to perform annual fall concert

Louisiana Tech University choirs will perform their fall concert, titled “Love, Laughter and Lament” Tuesday, Nov. 5 in Howard Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts.
The Concert Choir will sing a variety of music, including some gospel and music from Brazil and Zambia. The Chamber Singers will perform music from George Gershwin and John Rutter, and they will feature vocal soloists Dr. Lisa Maxedon, associate professor of voice, and Dr. John M. Petzet, director of choral activities.
Both choirs will perform at the end for a conclusion featuring Vaughan Williams’ “O Clap Your Hands” and John Rutter’s “The Lord Bless You and Keep You,” accompanied by Dr. Tracie Ellerman, organist at Church of the Redeemer in Ruston, playing the 3 manual Schantz pipe organ.
Tickets, which are $5 for adults and free for students with a Tech ID, will be sold at the door. The event begins at 7:30 p.m.
