The Garnie W. McGinty professor of history and interim associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Louisiana Tech University presented research at the 12th Central American Historical Congress in San Salvador, El Salvador.
Dr. Stephen Webre was one of about 600 scholars from more than a dozen countries who gathered at the University of El Salvador for the conference.

A member of the Louisiana Tech faculty since 1982, Stephen Webre is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and holds the M.A. and Ph.D. in history from Tulane University.
