Engineering and technology management program among nation’s best
Louisiana Tech University’s master’s in engineering and technology management program has earned a spot in the top 20 of all engineering management programs in the nation, according to GraduatePrograms.com’s Fall 2015 rankings.
The Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management program at Louisiana Tech ranked No. 17 in the nation and was the only engineering management program in the State of Louisiana to earn a place in the Top 20. The University of Alabama at Birmingham earned the categories top spot followed by the University of Colorado at Boulder, Duke University, Dartmouth College and Penn State University Park.
The rankings are based on reviews and evaluations from students on a variety of topics including academic competitiveness, career support, financial aid and quality of network. Program rankings, compiled using data gathered between September 1, 2012 and September 30, 2015, encompass reviews posted by more than 75,000 students participating in over 1,600 graduate programs nationwide.
“We are pleased that our current students and alumni have seen the career benefits that the M.S. in Engineering and Technology Management program offers,” said Dr. Beth Hegab, program coordinator for the engineering and technology management program and lecturer in the industrial engineering program.
The M.S. Engineering and Technology Management program is open to graduate students around the world, and has enrollees who are immersed in industry, are in the military, as well as traditional master’s degree students.
Dr. Hisham Hegab, dean of the College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech says that the online availability of the degree adds to its value.
“Our M.S. in Engineering and Technology Management degree has been very attractive to working professionals since we made it available online. It provides our graduates valuable skills to further advance their careers,” Hegab said.
