Louisiana Tech liberal arts dean presents talk in D.C.

Dr. Donald P. Kaczvinsky, dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Louisiana Tech University, gave a presentation at the 50th annual meeting of the Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences Nov. 4-7 in Washington D.C.
Kaczvinsky’s presentation was part of a panel titled, “Restructuring the Unit: Lessons in How to Lead Reorganization.”  The annual meeting gathered nearly 580 deans from across the country to discuss various topic, including leadership, fundraising and the role of liberal arts in American universities today.
Kaczvinsky earned a Ph.D. in English from Penn State University in 1989, a master’s degree in English from the University of Virginia in 1984, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Providence College in 1982
