Online course in visual communication could improve student success

Jul 11, 2018 | General News

Louisiana Tech faculty and staff are constantly acting on ways to improve their No. 1 priority of serving students.

This year, the University will offer an online course in visual communication to help faculty and staff in a variety of ways.

Called SPARK, the course is taught by two professional medical illustrators and is designed to teach scientists to communicate their ideas and research visually.  The course will help all faculty and staff improve publications, proposals, presentations, and communications of classroom ideas and research. Some faculty will implement the course in their classes or share parts of the course that best apply to a particular group of students.

The pre-medical illustration/VISTA program at Tech has partnered with professional medical illustrators to offer the course for free during the 2018-2019 academic year.
