Blazo presents at Institute for the Study of Youth Sports Conference
Dr. Jordan Blazo recently represented Louisiana Tech University’s Department of Kinesiology at the 40th anniversary Institute for the Study of Youth Sports Conference.
Blazo also presented at the conference, which brought together world-leading scholars with a passion for advancing the study of children and youth in sports settings. His presentation was titled “Parent Passion and Youth Sport Burnout Symptoms.”
The Institute for the Study of Youth Sports (ISYS) conference gave scholars the opportunity to focus on current issues and future directions in sports for children and youth. Through the discussion of scientific knowledge on sport for children and youth, scholars have the opportunity to dive deeper in research and instruction of both the individual and group diagnostics from studies of children and youth in sports settings. Seminars and discussions also focus on the studies of parent involvement and its effects on young athletes.
“This was an excellent opportunity to showcase the research of Kinesiology graduate students from Louisiana Tech,” Blazo said. “Having the opportunity to engage with experts from around the world was priceless. Additionally, learning of new ways we can impact and enhance the sports experiences of youngsters will only benefit the work of our College.”
