Business Insider ranks Tech one of nation’s most underrated universities
Louisiana Tech was one of two institutions in the state recognized in an annual ranking of the country’s most underrated universities and colleges.
Tech was No. 36 on the list of 50; LSU was the only other school in Louisiana also recognized.
As reported in Business Insider, CollegeVine ranks school on both value and return on investment. Among the criteria examined were:
- Cost of attendance
- Generosity of financial aid and scholarships
- Return on tuition investment
- Financial performance of graduates
- Job placement
- Graduate school enrollment and progression
The annual ranking aims to help prospective students and their parents find colleges and universities that offer strong educational and career opportunities.
“Louisiana Tech continues to be recognized for exceptional educational value and return on tuition investment each year,” said Tech president Dr. Les Guice. “Our students and their families know that we are committed to providing an unparalleled experience that will prepare them to make a lasting impact in their careers and communities.”
The ranking included other universities like the University of Texas-Austin, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Arkansas on its annual list.
