ExxonMobil donated $173,940 to Louisiana Tech University as part of their Educational Matching Gift Program. This program is intended to encourage employee giving by providing a 3-to-1 match on employee gifts up to $7,500 to higher education each year, tripling employee philanthropic impact.

ExxonMobil’s Troy O’Laughlin, a 1999 Chemical Engineering graduate from Louisiana Tech’s College of Engineering and Science, presented the check to Louisiana Tech President Les Guice and College of Engineering and Science Dean Dr. Hisham Hegab.

“Louisiana Tech alumni and friends are incredibly loyal in their support for our institution,” said Tech President Dr. Les Guice. “We are extremely grateful to companies like ExxonMobil that work with their employees to multiply the impact they have on Louisiana Tech and its ability to tackle the grand challenges that face our state, region, and nation.”
