Johnson named to 2019 YPI 40 Under 40
Louisiana Tech Assistant Vice President for Academic Advancement and Partnerships Dr. Donna Johnson has been named to the Young Professional Initiative (YPI) 40 Under Forty class for 2019.
Johnson is working to develop, coordinate, and direct multiple instructional sites, including the Tech Academic Success Center in Bossier City and the Tech Barksdale program, all part of what Johnson calls the University’s “westward expansion.”
“Every day we want to build on the momentum we have,” who joined the University in 2018. “I’ve been fortunate to work with so many forward-thinking people who care about this region that we call home; no one is in position to make a bigger positive impact here than Louisiana Tech.”
The honorees will be recognized at YPI’s 13th annual 40 Under Forty Gala presented by 318 Forum on Saturday, December 7, at the Shreveport Convention Center. From the list of Honorees, one will be named the 2019 Young Professional of the Year during the Gala.
The YPI, a young professionals program of the Greater Shreveport Chamber in Northwest Louisiana, debuted its 2019 class last week at Red River Brewing in Shreveport.
YPI enlisted a special committee to select 40 young professionals based on values such as achievement, experience and innovation, vision, leadership, and community involvement, young professionals who make Shreveport-Bossier a better place to live, work, and play.
The Dec. 7 Gala will begin with a cocktail reception at 7 p.m., dinner and program at 7:30 with an after party to follow at the Shreveport Convention Center. Chamber member early bird tickets are $65 per person. After Nov. 18, the price will increase to $75. Non-member tickets are $95 per person. Tickets and sponsorships are available through the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce at 318.677.2500.
