Connelly to read from new book
The Louisiana Tech English Department will present a book reading and signing by visiting author Neil Connelly at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in G. T. Madison Hall, Room 105. The public reading from his latest young adult novel, Brawler, will be followed by a book signing.
At noon in GTM 223, Connelly will discuss how he crafts his work in a special presentation for creative writing students, English majors, and faculty, along with the interested public.
Connelly, currently a professor of creative writing at Shippensburg University, was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He received his BA in English from Penn State, and his MA and MFA from McNeese State University, where he later served as Creative Writing Director in Fiction.
He has published eight novels, which include St. Michael’s Scales (Arthur A. Levine), Buddy Cooper Finds a Way (Simon and Schuster), The Miracle Stealer (Levine), and the collection of short stories, In the Wake of Our Vows.
