‘The Quatrain’ now accepting submissions

Louisiana Tech’s undergraduate literary journal The Quatrain is currently accepting submissions for its 2020 volume. The editors will consider creative writing and art works by Louisiana Tech students through Dec. 15. Only previously unpublished work will be accepted.

In its fourth year of publication, The Quatrain prints original works of poetry, creative non-fiction, fiction, and visual art (including photography, paintings, drawings, and mixed media) from students of Louisiana Tech University. Editors are also interested in works that blend visual art and writing, such as graphic stories, mini-zines, and cartoons. 2018’s volume 3 featured work by 20 student writers and artists, and included 16 pages of full color art, over 30 poems, and three stories and three lyrical essays. It was edited by award-winning author Genaro Smith, who continues as the upcoming volume’s editor.

The publication has also announced a new editorial staff. General editor Dr. Ernest Rufleth, Anna Kelley (managing editor), Veronica Schuder (promotions), Dr. Erin Singer (submissions), and Genaro Smith (editor) will continue a tradition of publishing highly readable, moving literary and visual works of artistic merit.

Interested readers can find The Quatrain online, where submission guidelines are also available. Printed copies of The Quatrain volume 3 can be requested by emailing schuder@latech.edu or calling 318.257.2718.
