College of Business to Host 15th Annual Bankers Day

Regional and local banking executives will meet with Louisiana Tech University College of Business students to share expertise on a variety of topics during the 15th annual Bankers Day on Friday, Nov. 1.

“Bankers Day is one of the many ways we work to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world for our students,” said Dr. Chris Martin, dean of the College of Business. “This special day continues to impact the future of the banking industry by educating the next generation of banking executives. We’re grateful to these finance and banking leaders for sharing their knowledge with students and the Ruston community.”

The day will culminate with a lecture by Stephen Clayton, director of community engagement for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Clayton’s presentation will take place at 1:30 p.m. in Davis Auditorium (College of Business 101) and is free and open to the public.

Clayton joined the Dallas Fed in 2010 and assumed responsibility for the Bank’s community engagement department in 2015, where is he responsible for providing relevant and timely information on the Federal Reserve System, economic concepts, monetary policy, and personal finance to audiences across the Eleventh District.
