Free FastTrac training for entrepreneurs begins Thursday

Feb 4, 2020 | Business, Engagement, General News, Innovation

Entrepreneurs working to establish a new venture can gain more information about startups and pursue development of their work idea along with a community of like-minded entrepreneurs through the upcoming free FastTrac for Founders training at Louisiana Tech.

It begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Rawle Enterprise Center, 509 West Alabama Avenue in Ruston. Training will continue there from 5:30-8 p.m. each Thursday through April 30.

The workshops are focused on topics that are essential for assessing both the feasibility and sustainability of a new venture. Before getting started, the business model needs to be developed and refined, a budget drafted, sources of funding identified, and the rationale for establishing an enterprise must be presented effectively. The workshops provide information, resources, and tools needed to design and develop a business model with staying power.

The series includes classroom instruction and online training, along with independent study and face-to-face discussion in both group settings and one-on-one counseling sessions.

To complete the mandatory intake interview for this free training, contact the Technology Business Development Center (TBDC) before the start date by calling 318.257.3537 or emailing tbdc@latech.edu.
