The Louisiana Tech University master’s degree in industrial engineering has been ranked in the top 20 best online master’s degree programs in industrial engineering by College Rank.

Ranked at No. 11, the Louisiana Tech program provides students with the option to take classes while they work, giving them scheduling flexibility as they earn their degree.

Jake Beebe, a first-year master’s student in Tech’s online Industrial Engineering program, says that curriculum and the willingness of professors to work with off-campus students, answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping schedule exams, solidify the program as a good investment.

“Overall, the program has been outstanding. The online master’s degree is rigorous but doesn’t require any more work than would be required in person. Each course offers information that pertains to real-world job skills and analysis. The Louisiana Tech counselors and professors are very responsive to any questions and needs that I may have. Without this online option, I never would have been able to obtain a master’s degree while working full-time and raising a family. This degree will no doubt increase my value in the work force.”

College Rank uses potential salary after graduation, institutional accreditation, and overall degree affordability to rank industrial engineering programs across the United States.

In addition, the program was ranked No. 31 in the “2020 Best Online Engineering Degree” category and labeled as a “Nationally Recognized” program by Intelligent.com. The Best Online Engineering Degree category includes all online engineering degrees offered in both graduate and undergraduate disciplines.

The master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering concentration also earned the number 10 ranking in the nation for the “Online Masters Best Industrial Engineering Degree Programs 2019” and the number 12 ranking in the nation for the “2018 Best Online Colleges for Value” from the SR Education Group.
