Louisiana Tech University has been named the top public university in the state of Louisiana, according to MSN Money.

The ranking is based on acceptance rates and net price for attendance, areas where Louisiana Tech shines. The list also balances location, size, diversity, areas of focus and study-abroad opportunities for students.

“While best college lists are often topped with the same handful of expensive Ivy League schools,” the report stated, “the U.S. is home to more than 4,000 degree-granting schools spread out across all 50 states and several territories, with amazing education offerings for students of every age.”
