Louisiana Tech University’s A.E. Philips Laboratory School will partner with the Louisiana Tech University Foundation on a renovation campaign designed to fund enhancement of the school’s physical campus and outdoor learning spaces.

In recent years, the school’s playground has experienced ongoing issues with exposed roots, older fencing, and drainage issues that have caused erosion.

“We provide an excellent education for our students, and we strive to provide an excellent educational experience in all areas,” said Principal Jenny Blalock. “Students should love to come to school, and building an exciting outdoor learning and play space perfectly aligns with our educational goals for A.E. Philips.”

The renovation campaign will provide crucial improvements to exterior learning spaces as well as new playground equipment. These improvements will ensure that students have a safe environment to learn, grow, play and thrive.

“A.E. Philips serves nearly 400 students a year, assisting each student to reach their full potential,” Blalock said. “WIth this campaign, students will have the opportunity to grow in the nurturing environment they deserve.”

For more than 100 years, A.E. Philips has empowered students to achieve their academic, social, and emotional best. Support the A.E. Philips Playground Campaign at latechalumni.org/aep.
