Gov. John Bel Edwards has appointed Dr. Lindsey B. Keith-Vincent of the College of Education to the Louisiana Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (LaSTEM) Advisory Council.

“It is my honor to serve in this capacity, and I am grateful to Gov. Edwards and my colleagues and leaders at Louisiana Tech for entrusting me to contribute to and to help support the important work in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in our state,” Keith-Vincent said. “There is much work to be done, but I am confident our state is rich with innovative and dedicated leaders poised to make investments that will result in significant educational and workforce return in the near future.”

LaSTEM coordinates and oversees the creation, delivery, and promotion of STEM education programs, to increase student interest and achievement in the fields of STEM, to ensure the alignment of education, economic development, industry, and workforce needs, and to increase the number of women who graduate from a postsecondary institution with a STEM degree or credential.
