Tickets on sale now for ‘Church and State’

Jan 24, 2022 | Liberal Arts, Students

In less than two weeks, Louisiana Tech’s School of Theatre will begin Winter 2022’s live production of the Kennedy Center award-winning dramedy Church and State, written by Jason Odell Williams and directed by Cherrie Sciro.

Assistant director is Katie Brumfield, and intimacy director is Olivia Willcox.

The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1-5 and at 2 p.m. Feb. 6 in Arthur W. Stone Theatre.

Church and State focuses on a Senate campaign and whether or not faith and politics can coexist in the wake of a school shooting that rocks an elementary school and its community. The cast deals with the hectic political landscape of legislature — and attempts to retain grace and some sense of humor about the trials along the way.

Ticket prices are $10 general admission, $2 students with student ID, $5 youth under 14 years old, and $5 seniors 65 years old and up.
