Juror talk to open annual School of Design Student Exhibition

Louisiana Tech University will open its annual School of Design Student Exhibition with a juror talk from David Wolske, a typographic designer, artist, and educator at the University of North Texas.

The talk will be held at 5 p.m. March 15 in Room 103 of the F. Jay Taylor Visual Arts Center (VAC), and an opening reception and awards ceremony will follow at 6 p.m. The exhibit will run from March 15-29 in the VAC on the Tech campus.

Wolske’s interdisciplinary practice combines the traditions of letterpress and printmaking with digital tools and design thinking. He is the IS Projects 2021 Exhibiting Artist Resident, a 2020 LHM Educator Fellow at the Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography at ArtCenter College of Design, the College Book Art Association 2018 Emerging Educator, 2016 Visiting Artist at Hatch Show Print, and a 2014 Utah Visual Arts Fellow. Wolske is currently an Assistant Professor in the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas.

The Gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday. It is free and open to the public.
