Louisiana Tech University’s Science and Technology Education Center (SciTEC) and Department of Mathematics & Statistics will partner to offer a two-day math workshop for local teachers interested in preparation for teaching dual enrollment classes.

The workshop, sponsored by Region 8 STEM Center (SCILS), will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 29-30. In addition to the spring workshop, the graduate course Math 401 will be offered during the summer.

Completing these activities can bring aspiring and current teachers one step closer to being able to teach math dual enrollment in the classrooms of district partners.

Funding for the summer course credit is available through LA GEAR UP (for existing partner schools), SCILS, and through teacher tuition exemption scholarship opportunities in the College of Education’s Office of Professional Education Outreach.
