Louisiana Tech’s Big Event 2022 is approaching fast, and SGA is gearing up for another great year of service.

“Big Event is my favorite event at Louisiana Tech because it unites our campus in such special way,” said Lindsey Thornton of SGA.

Big Event is a service event that benefits the Louisiana Tech campus and greater Ruston community. Close to 1,500 students and faculty come to Joe Aillet Stadium and are sent out into the community to do a variety of community services.

“We had Big Event last year, and it was a huge success,” Thornton said. “I have been in the community service department of SGA for three years, so I experienced the disappointment of not being able to have a normal Big Event in 2020. Being able to have Big Event last year was extremely exciting, and we are grateful and pumped to have another Big Event this year.”

Big Event will take place April 23rd at 8 am at Joe Aillet Stadium. Volunteers will do projects for about two hours and then eat lunch provided by Aramark at Argent Pavilion.
