For the fourth consecutive year, the Tech Family raised more than $1 million during Louisiana Tech University’s annual giving day held April 21.

More than 1,008 gifts – and counting – contributed to the day’s success. Donors included students, faculty, staff members, alumni, parents, corporate partners, and community members.

“Philanthropy and loyalty are the lifeblood of Louisiana Tech,” said Brooks Hull, CEO and Vice President for University Advancement. “Our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends want to give back to the University they love. For the fourth year in a row, they have shown what it means to be forever loyal to Louisiana Tech University and its future success.”

Donors on Giving Day provide support to three major impact areas – academics, athletics, and campus life. Louisiana Tech’s Student Advancement Team also sponsored a student competition to let students participate in Giving Day.

This year’s Giving Day follows three record-breaking events that have offered tremendous support for the Tech Family, especially in times of uncertainty. Donors joined together to meet the needs of our campus community with disaster-relief funds and support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Alumni and friends also completed the historic Forever Loyal campaign that raised more than $175 million to benefit the University’s strategic goals.

“Louisiana Tech’s Giving Day allows individuals to give back to their beloved University as one family,” said Lindsey Murry, Director of Annual Giving. “It’s inspiring to see the Tech family come together for one day to commit themselves to the continued success of their alma mater.”
