Louisiana Tech University’s Division of Advancement brought home the institution’s first Circle of Excellence Gold award for Targeted Constituency Engagement. This award acknowledged the Division’s work to celebrate the career moves of Louisiana Tech alumni.

The CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) Circle of Excellence Awards are the premier recognition program for educational advancement. These awards honor colleges, universities, and schools worldwide.

Through a partnership with EverTrue, a cloud-based fundraising platform for data, software, services, the University Advancement team receives quarterly notifications about graduates who have changed jobs, been promoted, or retired. Madison Kaufman, Director of Alumni Engagement, then sends personalized congratulatory videos to these graduates.

“Our success reflects our dedication to our alumni,” said Brooks Hull, Vice President of University Advancement. “Their success directly reflects the value of a Louisiana Tech degree; and we should celebrate their achievements. Our partnership with Evertrue allows us to grow and strengthen relationships with our alumni and friends.”

University Advancement built a scalable process to connect with thousands more alumni every year at a significant juncture in their lives.

“This is the Golden Rule in action, at scale,” said Brent Grinna, CEO and Founder of Evertrue. “The Louisiana Tech team balances innovation and pragmatism extremely well, and it is a privilege to partner with them to bring more personalized experiences to every graduate.”

In 2022, CASE received more than 4,500 entries from 636 institutions in nearly 30 countries. Winners were selected based on several factors, including overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution or its external and internal communities, such as alumni, parents, students, faculty, and staff.

Judges’ accolades for Louisiana Tech’s targeted constituency engagement included comments such as “Outstanding! Completely replicable. This is an excellent program and…allows the institution to engage earlier with the alumni than when they end up in the C-Suite.”
