Ongoing ‘Deck the Halls’ auction benefits Ruston Skatepark

Deck the Halls logoArtists and designers in the Louisiana Tech School of Design (SOD) have created custom skate decks that are being auctioned online this week to support Ruston Skatepark.

The Deck the Halls 2022 auction started Monday and ends at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. The exhibition featuring the custom boards can be viewed at the F. Jay Taylor Visual Arts Center (TVAC) on the Tech campus.

Money raised will go to the skatepark and back to the SOD artists. Participating artists and designers have the option to auction their decks and donate 100 percent to Friends of Ruston Skatepark, or split the sale with 50 percent to Friends of Ruston Skatepark and 50 percent to the artist/designer. Funds raised help provide a safe place for youth to skate.
