Division promotes Milan to Comptroller for University Advancement
Louisiana Tech University’s Division for University Advancement recently named Allison Milan Comptroller for the Division.
Milan joined the University in June of this year after working in financial services and public accounting with Origin Bank and KPMG, LLP. In her role, she oversees the accounting function and internal operating controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
“Since coming to work for her alma mater, Allison has brought a high level of skill and focus on process improvements and innovation to the Division and the Louisiana Tech University Foundation,” said Brooks Hull, Vice President and CEO for University Advancement. “She continues to show leadership within our area and has cultivated strong relationships with other areas within the University.”
Milan earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting at Tech. She led work on routine audits of the Foundation, Tech’s Alumni Association, and Tech Pointe II, as well as the agreed-upon procedures engagement for the Board of Regents related to University Chairs and Professorships.
“Allison has earned the trust and respect of our Division as well as colleagues across campus, the Foundation Executive Committee, and the Foundation Asset Management Committee,” said Lisa Bradley, Associate Vice President and CFO for University Advancement. “She has developed effective working relationships with our external auditors and our outsourced Chief Investment Officer. Her knowledge and skills, combined with her ability to learn quickly, have contributed to her remarkable success.”
