Louisiana Tech’s School of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry awarded approximately $30,000 in scholarships to high-achieving students at its recent annual Agriculture Scholarship Banquet.

“These students have worked incredibly hard to position themselves to continue their successful career paths in agriculture,” said School Director Dr. Christopher Keyes, the evening’s emcee. “They’ve demonstrated the tenets of our University, including excellence, commitment, knowledge, and leadership, and deserve to be celebrated.”

More than 200 attended, including faculty, staff, alumni donors, and the shining stars of the event, Tech’s agriculture students, joined by their families and supporters.

Students recognized for active participation in the Gamma Chapter of Alpha Zeta (Honor society of highest distinction for service, leadership, and scholarship for agriculture and natural resources). This group was recognized with a National Award for winning the 2023 Chapter Achievement Award for Alumni Relations. The award is presented in recognition of the Chapter’s alumni outreach activities as part of its hosting of the South Campus Homecoming Games at Tech’s homecoming in October of 2022.
