Willie Robertson to headline College of Business Entrepreneurship Lecture

Entrepreneur, American TV personality, businessman, and author Willie Robertson will share his experience and expertise at the College of Business’ Entrepreneurship Lecture Series on Monday, October 9, at 4 p.m. in Davison Athletics Complex on the Louisiana Tech University campus.

This free event is open to the public.

Robertson has expanded his family companies from a living room operation to a multimillion-dollar enterprise. Today, he serves as CEO of both Buck Commander and Duck Commander, the best-selling duck call brand in the U.S.

Robertson and his family became household names in 2012 when their reality television series, “Duck Dynasty,” first aired on A&E. He serves as executive producer for the show and for “Buck Commander,” shown on the Outdoor Channel.

He is a New York Times best-selling author of “The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family and Ducks Built a Dynasty,” “American Hunter,” “American Fisherman,” and his latest, “American Entrepreneur.”

“This lecture series is an important one, as it focuses on one of our College’s core academic themes: entrepreneurship,” said Dr. Chris Martin, dean of the College of Business. “We’re grateful to Willie for taking the time to speak with our students about his entrepreneurial journey.”

With focuses on the College’s core academic themes of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, co-curricular programs like the Entrepreneurship Lecture Series are designed to complement and expand on what students are learning in the classroom. Topics cover a variety of core business subjects such as ethics, corporate responsibility, leadership, globalization, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, technology, innovation, and diversity.
