Louisiana Tech University’s Professional Master of Business Administration (MBA) and online Master’s in Engineering programs were named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 list of Best Online Programs released today.

The online MBA is the highest ranked program in Louisiana for the third consecutive year.

“Our faculty are among the best in the nation at delivering engaging MBA courses in both face-to-face and online formats, allowing us to reach more students across the nation and world,” said Dr. Chris Martin, dean of the College of Business. “The strong placements of our graduates—100 percent for MBA—indicate our curriculum prepares innovative and ethical leaders for success in today’s rapidly changing business environment. I am proud of the hard work our faculty, staff, and students have put in to remain the best in the state.”

Accredited by AACSB International, Louisiana Tech’s Professional MBA program is designed to provide a solid foundation in all business disciplines while integrating technology and innovation. The online delivery method makes learning convenient for those who cannot attend a consistent class schedule and prefer to work at their own pace.

Tech’s online Master’s in Engineering programs received their first appearance on the USNWR.

“We are excited to be included in the U.S. News and World Report Online Graduate Engineering program ranking this year through our online master of Engineering and Technology Management and in Industrial Engineering. Both of these programs prepare our students for leadership positions in technical fields and companies in the areas of project management, continuous improvement, and data analytics,” College of Engineering and Science Dean Dr. Collin Wick said. “Being among the top online Graduate Engineering programs in the U.S. is a great accomplishment for our first year of being ranked. We stand out in this ranking as one of the top ten schools in affordability. I’m grateful to our faculty who work hard to ensure the success of our students and to U.S. News and World Reports for recognizing their hard work through this ranking.”

Louisiana Tech’s online Engineering and Technology Management and Industrial Engineering master’s degree programs are designed to emphasize mathematical, statistical and risk modeling, as well as system design and engineering management. The programs give students the opportunity to learn essential skills for career advancement.

U.S. News ranked MBA and engineering programs using five categories: engagement, peer assessment, faculty credential and training, student excellence, and services and technology. The 2024 rankings assessed 356 online MBA programs and 115 engineering master’s programs.
