Mardi Gras is over? Not for Louisiana Tech’s School of Design, it’s not.

Tech’s American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Graphic Design and Studio Art (CMYX), and Women in Architecture (WIA) are teaming to host the School of Design Gala 2024: Krewe Nouveau event Friday, February 16, 7-10 p.m., in the Davison Athletics Complex, an event inspired by Louisiana’s Mardi Gras Holiday and the decorative florals of Art Nouveau.

Dress in formal attire, network with SOD alumni and students from the Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Studio Art departments, capture the moments in the photo booth, and enjoy the menu catered by Louisiana Tech Dining Services.

The night’s offerings include the following:

silent auction with art and services from local artists, vendors, and SOD students;

music by default layer / Kaden Beilman;

the Student Choice Awards (students vote for their favorite professors under categories like Best Dressed and Funniest Professor).

The funds raised will directly contribute to student organizations, events, and conferences throughout the school year, events that will help empower Tech students to become leaders in the field of design.

Cost of admission is $25 for students, $40 for general admission.
