Student entrepreneurs from Louisiana Tech to share their ideas at TOP DAWG Idea Pitch

Oct 29, 2011 | Business, Engineering and Science

Students from majors across the campus at Louisiana Tech University will pitch their creative and innovative product or service ideas Thursday, during the TOP DAWG Idea Pitch sponsored by Bulldog Entrepreneurs.
The event will take place Thursday, November 3 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Louisiana Tech’s Student Center.  Admission is free and the campus and community are invited to attend.
This year’s TOP DAWG Idea Pitch features seventeen teams that will each give five minute pitches about their ideas to see what professional judges think about their concepts.  The Louisiana Tech student body can visit each team’s booth at any time during the event to vote for their favorite ideas with green “Bulldog Bucks.”  The team with the highest number of green bulldog buck votes will win $100.
The top 10 Idea Pitch teams with the highest overall score will be invited to compete in the 2012 TOP DAWG New Venture Championship this spring.  This event offers Idea Pitch winners a chance to win cash prizes and six months Enterprise Center office space to help them move one step closer to making their ideas a reality.
Teams are mentored by business professionals and the Bulldog Entrepreneurs organization sponsors helpful business planning seminars in the months before the New Venture Championship.
