Division of Nursing

About the division of nursing

If you are exploring nursing as a possible major, there are a number of strong reasons to attend Louisiana Tech University. Our nursing graduates are highly recruited and are practicing throughout the world, and our faculty continues to provide cutting-edge experiences for our students in partnership with health care agencies across north Louisiana. We encourage you to visit us and learn about our tradition of excellence.

The Louisiana Nurses Foundation has recognized us as Louisiana’s Undergraduate Nursing Program of the Year for two years in a row, and we have reported a 100 percent pass rate for the National Council Licensure Exam by all of its 2017 nursing graduates.  The Division of Nursing is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN).

Admission

Louisiana Tech maintains as its highest priority the education and development of its students in a challenging, yet supportive community of learners. Louisiana Tech grants the Associate of Science in Nursing in a vibrant university culture of excellence. Upon completion of the nursing program and approval by the State Board of Nursing, graduates are eligible to take the licensing exam and enter into professional nursing practice as a registered nurse. Tech graduates are highly recruited, maintain an outstanding NCLEX pass rate, and are ready to continue to grow professionally as lifelong learners.
