Physical Endurance and Stamina |
Physical abilities sufficient to sustain physical activities incurred for safe and
effective nursing care |
- Perform client care for an entire length of clinical experience, 8-12 hours
- Transfer/position/lift clients up to 50 pounds with assistance without causing harm
to self or others
- Lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
- Stoop, bend, squat, reach overhead as required to deliver care in non-emergent and
emergent situations
- Perform CPR according to professional standards

Visual Acuity |
Visual ability with or without assistive devices sufficient for observation and assessment |
- Accurately read small print on medication labels, syringes, discriminate color changes
and intensity
- Accurately read computer/tablets, monitors and equipment calibrations
