Activities

Students who are enrolled in the Honors Program are able to participate in activities that go far beyond the scope of everyday classroom instruction. The pictures below illustrate some of the activities and trips over the last few years.

Students in Dr. Stokely’s HNRS 489 class as they are about to embark on a trip to Wade Prison.

Field trip to the Air Force Cyber Command Center

Students enrolled in an Honors class on cyber studies traveled to the Cyber Command Center in Bossier, Louisiana at Barksdale AFB.  The Air Force published a story about the visit, which can be viewed here.

Field Trip to Subiaco Abbey

Honors students (some can be seen at left) and faculty from the two sections of HNRS 104 visited Subiaco Abbey, located in Subiaco, Arkansas. They met monks and learned about church history and monastic life.
