FACULTY & STAFF

Campus communication – April 13, 2022

Dear students, faculty, and staff,

Good Wednesday morning.

Since the January 2021 rollout of Workday on our campus, faculty, staff, and students have become accustomed to using the system for our Human Resources and Finance processes. A number of staff members invested their time and talent into ensuring the launch was successful, and much of their work was conducted during the pandemic. I thank them for their hard work and commitment to excellence in these functional areas at Louisiana Tech.

Recently, a new university-wide team began working on our next large project aimed at increasing efficiency and streamlining processes – Workday Student. When the transition to Workday Student is complete, students will experience new and improved procedures and user interface for advising, registration, student records, financial aid, and student financials. The new system is designed to be responsive, user-friendly, and technologically advanced.

For this project, our University is once again partnering with Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of New Orleans. We’re also adding Accenture, the nation’s leading Workday service provider to the higher education market with over 65 Workday college and university clients, to our team.

This implementation will impact all units throughout the University. We will be asking for your help and feedback as we continue the project, so watch for emails on how you can be involved.

You can share any feedback on Workday by emailing workday@latech.edu.
