FACULTY & STAFF
Campus communication – Sept. 7, 2018
Campus community,
As our team continues to work collaboratively with others from both UNO and Southeastern Louisiana University to implement Workday across the three campuses, a number of employees are working hard to ensure the project is successful. As a reminder, we are moving to Workday, a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform that will replace the current system.
We have made significant progress on the University’s Workday project. The plan is to go live with Workday’s HR/Payroll and Financials functions in July 2019. The student components to the ERP will be added the following year.
Here are some of the key milestones HR, Financials, Integration and Data Conversion teams have met thus far:
- Traveled more than 30 times to partner campuses to keep activities on task and harness the power of the three institutions
- Completed more than 300 units of training (47 team members have taken 153 different courses)
- Completed more than 2,100 hours of consulting services
- Completed first two phases of the project on time and on budget
Any change can create challenges, but our faculty, staff, and students at Louisiana Tech work to meet challenge head-on and create solutions. We have created a special webpage at latech.edu/workday to serve as the central portal for information on the transition. As more milestones are reached, trainings are added and resources become available, we will update the site.
If you have questions or concerns about the Workday implementation, please email our team at workday@latech.edu.
