FACULTY & STAFF
Campus communication – Oct. 16, 2020
Faculty and Staff,
Workday is coming! As detailed in recent weeks though various communications, the transition from our legacy mainframe system to Workday will be effective January 4, 2021. Every employee on our campus will be impacted by the change, and we are excited about the advancements Workday will provide to our daily operations.
Workday training is set to begin Oct. 26. A small group of individuals will participate in the first week of training to provide additional feedback to our trainers and Workday team prior to offering campus-wide training.
Training opportunities will be available for all employees during the upcoming weeks, beginning November 3. Campus-wide training will be delivered in the following formats:
- In-person and online trainings via Zoom will be offered until Jan. 15 or later as needed. A detailed calendar of offerings will soon be available online. The link to the webpage will be provided in future communications. You will register for the sessions online once the webpage is available. In-person attendance will be limited to 15 individuals to comply with the current physical distancing regulations.
- Workday Assistance Guides, including topical PDFs and introductory videos, will be available December 1 on Moodle. You can access the information using your University credentials (single sign on) at moodle.latech.edu beginning in December.
- The Workday Learning Lab (Prescott Memorial Library, Room 1015) will be available once we are live in Workday.
We look forward to providing these training opportunities as we prepare for the transition to Workday. If you have any questions about Workday training, please contact Jessica Comfort (jcomfort@latech.edu) or Cristy Martin (clmartin@latech.edu).
