School of Art to host contemporary exhibit

The Louisiana Tech University School of Art will host the Louisiana Purchase: Second National Biennial Juried Exhibition.
The exhibit will be shown from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Tuesday, Jan. 15 through Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the Visual Arts Center.
The event is a multimedia show for two- and three-dimensional works exploring any theme and has 165 submissions for a total of over 800 artworks, many from this region.
Paul Manoguerra, chief curator and curator of American art at the Georgia Museum of Art, will serve as the juror of the exhibit.
According to the School of Art, the overwhelming response reflects a continued commitment and passion for the arts in the community.
