Emergency Resources

During Office Hours

If you are experiencing a crisis during our office hours and need help now, please visit Louisiana Tech Counseling Services in their temporary location on the third floor of Keeny Hall, Room 337. You may also call us at 318.257.2488.

Outside Office Hours

If you are experiencing a crisis outside of working hours and need help now, please contact either 911 or Louisiana Tech Campus Police Department at 318.257.4018. Our campus police will work with you to help better understand your concerns and needs, and contact the on-call counselor as necessary.

Examples of Crisis Situations
  • Feeling like you may end your life
  • Feeling like you may seriously harm yourself or another person
  • Suspecting that another student may seriously harm themselves, you, or another person
  • Death of a loved one
  • Physical or sexual assault, stalking, or relationship violence
  • Hearing voices
  • Not being able to function due to extreme psychological distress
