Call to Order – The November 13, 2017 meeting of the University Senate was called to order at 4:00 p.m. in University Hall, Room 111, by President Ernest Rufleth.
Roll Call – Alicia Kimbell – A quorum was not met.
Approval of Minutes – The October 2017 minutes will be submitted for approval at the December Senate meeting.
Business – New Business – Updates from around the University
APC Meeting – tour of the Press Box
A request was made from the Senate Academic/Student Affairs Committee to have more representatives from the COB and COE join to diversify their group.
The Senate Administration Committee mentioned the Policy Action Statement and suggested a potential need for certain policies to be changed or revisited and updated.
Voluntary Remarks and Reminders – Dr. Joseph Rallo, Commissioner of Higher Education Visit, 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 15th, Wyly Auditorium
He will lead a discussion of what is going on in the state and how it affects higher education.
Questions should be submitted beforehand for Dr. Rallo to answer.
Sub-Committee Work Time – Each sub-committee met for the remainder of the meeting to discuss current initiatives.
