Williams earns grant for ‘Readying for Risk’ project

Political Science professor publishes study on politician responsiveness
Dr. William O’Brochta, Louisiana Tech University Assistant Professor of Political Science, recently published an article focused on politician attendance in the United Kingdom’s House of Lords. The article, titled “Do Peers respond? Attendance and critical events,” was published in the journal British Politics in January.

Louisiana Tech recognized for 23 top programs in the U.S.
Intelligent.com, a resource for online and on-campus program rankings and higher education planning, has included Louisiana Tech University in its list of programs assessed for 2022. The research identifies programs in the nation based on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost, and reputation.

Senior GIS major earns Institute for Study of War internship
Star Hill native Thomas Bergeron, a senior Geographic Information Science (GIS) major at Louisiana Tech, has earned an internship with the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), a non-partisan think tank focused on gathering, analyzing, and disseminating accurate intelligence from hot spots around the world in order to better inform United States national security policy and military strategy.
