Registration for Summer Orientation 2025 is Now Open!

Each year, we look forward to seeing the newest batch of Tech students at summer orientation! This is where your Tech story begins as you experience the beauty of campus, meet future classmates who become friends, and discover what makes the Tech community a family. We hope that after your time on campus, you students have found a home and will be excited to return to in the fall.

Be on the lookout for more information on orientation to your personal email address as we get closer to summer and your orientation date. ORIENTATION DATES FOR FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

Below are the upcoming Orientation dates for new, first-year students. Invitations to orientation and additional information will be sent to the email accounts on record through the student’s Kennel account. Registration for Summer Orientation sessions will open in early November while registration for the Winter and Spring Orientation will open a month before the listed date. Please be on the lookout for these emails and contact the orientation office if you have any questions. Space is limited and fill up fast, so be sure to register early!

• Winter Quarter, New Student Orientation: Friday, November 08, 2024 – 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Spring Quarter, New Student Orientation: Friday, February 21, 2025 – 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Orientation Session #1: Wednesday, June 11 – Friday, June 13, 2025
• Orientation Session #2: Wednesday, June 25 – Friday, June 27, 2025
• Orientation Session #3: Wednesday, July 9 – Friday, July 11, 2025
• Orientation Session #4: Wednesday, July 23 – Friday, July 25, 2025

ORIENTATION DATES FOR TRANSFER/NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENTS

The Tech Family wouldn’t be complete without our transfer and non-traditional students. Whether your college journey started somewhere else or a later in life, we are excited to welcome you to campus to achieve your educational goals. We offer convenient, half-day orientation sessions for students who are looking for the opportunity to come to campus and take care of business.

• Winter Quarter, New Student Orientation: Friday, November 08, 2024 – 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Spring Quarter, New Student Orientation: Friday, February 21, 2025 – 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Transfer Advising #1: TBD
• Transfer Advising #2: TBD

To register, be on the lookout for an invitation email from Orientation@LATech.edu. You can also sign-up through your Kennel account . Your login is the same email and password you used to submit your Louisiana Tech admissions application.

ORIENTATION DATES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Louisiana Tech is a top-notch academic destination for students from all over the world. The Office of International Affairs here at Tech offers quarterly orientation events for incoming, international students. These mandatory orientation programs are designed specifically for new international students and scholars at LA Tech. The purpose of the program is to help incoming international students adjust better to their new lives in the United States, Ruston, and at Louisiana Tech.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet other international students and scholars from over 52 countries around the world. You will also have the opportunity to interact with U.S. students and create friendships that will last throughout your stay at LA Tech and perhaps beyond! International Students should stay on the lookout for information from the International Student’s Office regarding their orientation dates and process.

Upcoming International Orientation Dates:

• Winter Quarter 2024-25 – Monday, December 2nd
• Spring Quarter 2025 – Monday, March 10th
• Fall Quarter 2025 – Thursday, August 28th
